Rain Barrel.ca in partnership with Earth Day Hamilton-Burlington invites local artists, schools, and organizations to participate in our first Annual Rain Barrel Auction. All finished barrels will be included in an online silent auction beginning March 26th, 2011. Participating artists will receive 50% of the funds raised. A 100% refundable security deposit of $25 per rain barrel is required. Earth Day Hamilton-Burlington will host a community wide truckload rain barrel sale on April 16th at Hamilton's Limeridge Mall from 9:30am to 1:30pm. The purpose of the Rain Barrel Art Auction is to raise awareness about water conservation, to promote the sale on April 16th and to raise funds for Earth Day Hamilton-Burlington's free educational eco festival and tree planting programs.
